Blog Journal #6
Hello again! In class, I have learned how to use an online website named Diigo. Diigo is an online website that can be used for online research because it allows you to bookmark, and write notes on different websites. It is a great tool when conducting research because it makes writing notes and saving information much easier. I also really enjoyed that Diigo can be accessed across all of my devices. This means that I can use it on my phone computer and iPad while doing different things in different places.
Throughout this course, we have been blogging weekly and it is safe to say this is an assignment that I really enjoy doing. I feel it is a great way to reflect on what we have been learning throughout the week and I also feel it is a great way to show how much we really know and understand about the material that has been taught to us. The only negative opinion that I have about blogging is that I was always unsure how to start my blog to make it flow better. I have now realized that if I always start with "Hello again" it is something that would be consistent throughout my blog. I feel that the blogging process has taught me how to write better and just improved my writing overall since this is something that I am doing consistently.
I feel that an interesting Web 2.0 that I would definitely use in my classroom would have to be YouTube. YouTube is an online platform where videos are posted by different people. Through my career as a student, I have been able to see how YouTube can be extremely beneficial when teaching students. It is a great way to have the students interactively learn from someone other than yourself. YouTube is also a great way to engage visual and auditory learners in the classroom.

Hi Liana! I also like blogging as an assignment. It's something different that we can personalize and have fun with. I have the same problem with making mine flow, though. I will try starting mine with something similar. I still can't figure out how to make the different paragraphs flow however.
ReplyDeleteHi Liana! I agree that YouTube is a great source. Sort of embarrassed it did not cross my mind considering I use it all the time. The only thing to be careful about when it comes to YouTube, especially if you're making your own content, is to be mindful of the audience. I've had professors who have their own YouTube channel where they'll post lecture content, assignment explanations, and other resources and it's honestly been a great help. I know you meant using YouTube as a source to share with the students so they can find content that helps clarify or elaborate a topic for them, but if you're ever a teacher, consider uploading your own content for your students.
