Hello again!  I have experienced distance/ remote learning, and I first started to experience it during my senior year of high school. During my senior year of high school when COVID-19 started to spread and the world was on lockdown, my high school started doing Zoom for classes. I then started doing college through distance learning. I have overall enjoyed my experience of distance learning. I  feel it helped with my transition from high school to college and now I have started to go to in-person classes more. Online learning kind of my school anxiety on pause. The one thing I did not like about distance learning was the transition from distance learning to in-person learning. I feel like I pressed play on my school anxiety again and now I am learning again how to cope with it.  In the future as a teacher, I plan to communicate clearly and give my students materials that are accessible to them both inside and outside of the classroom. I also plan to ...

Hello again! I found working on the web design assignment overall fun. I now have new skills such as using Google Sites and using an embedded calendar. I had no idea what both of those were before starting my assignment. I also found it interesting creating a creative commons for the website, I felt like creating one was useful information for my future career as a teacher. I feel it is very common now for teachers to create class websites and I definitely see myself doing it in the future. It is a great way for parents to see announcements, a quick way for them to learn about me, have my contact information, and see what their children are up to.  https://sites.google.com/view/ms-lianas-classroom/home Diigo has taught me several valuable skills, but one of the most significant is providing me with a strong foundation for conducting research.   This tool can be useful in my future classroom by creating accounts for my students as well. Having my students create acco...

Hello again! I started to search through teacher websites through Leon County Public Schools and I found one of a first-grade teacher named Ms. Bonnell. On her teacher's website, she has it separated into several sections. The sections include the welcome page, student resources, announcements, important documents, and her classroom library. I feel that having the classroom library public to the parents is an easy way for parents to keep updated with what their children are reading in school. This is perfect for when parents want to implement certain readings at home. I also found the important documents page helpful. Here is where you can find a classroom supply list, their class schedule, and a calendar of important dates and information for parents/students to expect.  https://www.leonschools.net/Page/41039 As I plan to be a future teacher, I feel it is important to use technology in my classroom efficiently and to use it to accomplish my career responsibilities. To accomp...

Hello again! In class, I have learned how to use an online website named Diigo. Diigo is an online website that can be used for online research because it allows you to bookmark, and write notes on different websites. It is a great tool when conducting research because it makes writing notes and saving information much easier. I also really enjoyed that Diigo can be accessed across all of my devices. This means that I can use it on my phone computer and iPad while doing different things in different places.  Throughout this course, we have been blogging weekly and it is safe to say this is an assignment that I really enjoy doing. I feel it is a great way to reflect on what we have been learning throughout the week and I also feel it is a great way to show how much we really know and understand about the material that has been taught to us. The only negative opinion that I have about blogging is that I was always unsure how to start my blog to make it flow better. I have now r...

Hello again! I originally started using Twitter in 2020 when COVID-19 hit and I was bored at home. I originally did not understand fully the concept of Twitter but found it interesting once I followed more and more people. Once I started to use Twitter more and more I realized how great of an app Twitter is and how useful it was to get information. I started following my friends and family and then started following other Twitter accounts so I could get information and news quicker than I usually would. In my future career, I hope to become a teacher and I feel that I can definitely use Twitter in my future career. I can use Twitter in my future career by staying informed about the teaching world around me, and even seeing other resources teachers share online. I can also read on teachers' experiences in the classroom to see what does and does not work for them.      The digital divide has two different sides one side people have access to technology a...

Hey again! Florida Computer Science Standards are standards set for each grade level from grades kindergarten through twelfth grade for computer curriculum. For children in first grade, a benchmark they have to follow is "Benchmark SC.K2.CS-CC1.1" which has the students use different tools that allow them to communicate and collaborate with one another. They should also be able to recognize different online databases and libraries. Personally, I do feel prepared enough to integrate technology into my curriculum based on my current skill set. I consider myself pretty comfortable and familiar with using technology and feel that I won't have too much of a problem teaching it either.   I used the CPALMS Educator Toolkit and went to the first-grade mathematics section of the website. After looking through the lesson plans, text resources, and tutorials I have learned that I can use these resources in my future teachings. I can use it in my future teaching by looking at lesson ...

Hello again! It is known that copyright is a protection for a creator's original work. Copyright allows creators to control how they want their work to be seen and used.  It also does not allow other people to copy a creator's work and use it as their own. Fair use is a doctrine that is seen as pretty flexible and only determined by the court. It allows someone to use something that is copyrighted if it is fair for them to use it. An example of this would be when a news network is using a video that is not theirs to report something. As a teacher, copyright could be seen with their own students. This could be if their students decide to use a fellow student's work as their own or get work off the internet and present it as their own. Seeing fair use in the classroom could definitely be when a teacher is using a passage word for word from a textbook to teach their students. I feel it is important to go over copyright, plagiarism, and fair use as a teacher and explain to you...
